"Nothing" es el cuarto álbum  de estudio de la banda sueca de metal extremo, "Meshuggah" . Después de un tercer disco magistral en Chaosphere ( 1998 ) , Meshuggah regresó con un álbum muy diferente y un sonido muy diferente .

La adición de guitarras 8 cuerdas  y un ritmo bastante más lento , que en el caso de su predecesor, da uno de los sonidos más aplastantemente pesados jamás creado en un álbum de metal. La forma imposible de reproducir patrones de ritmo y riffs  pesados y también lo son las voces agresivas y caoticas de Jens Kidman

, la increíble tecnica de Tomas Haake y el jazz de Holdsworthian Fredrik Thordendal influido en los solos de guitarra. Es, definitivamente, el sonido de la guitarra y el ritmo más lento el que diferencia al "Nothng"  de sus discos anteriores. El groove hipnótico del previo "Chaosphere" es aún más efectivo en el  ritmo lento de las pistas del Nothing. Algunas personas parecen encontrar la música de Meshuggah "fría y calculada" , pero creo que hay un groove que la mayoría de las personas no se dan cuenta al escucharlo inicialmente. Probablemente soy un poco lento en esto.

Las 10 canciones del disco son de alta calidad . La canción de apertura "Stengah" marca la pauta desde el principio , pero otras canciones en el álbum como "Rational Gaze" y  "Closed Eye Visuals" también son canciones que debes escuchar.
